Hi I’m Alison Bender. I’m a freelance presenter and reporter specialising in football.
It feels like yesterday I started in this job that I love but I’ve been doing it now for coming up to 20 years! Take a look at my videos page and you’ll see a fresh faced version of me on Sky Sports News or Real Madrid TV. Ahhhh the memories!
Although presenting and reporting is my main gig, I’m also a writer, pundit, events host, speaker and blogger and I regularly appear on the radio and podcasts chatting football or reviewing papers.
I’ve travelled all over the World, covering European Championships, World Cups, and Champions League games and I’ve worked for a load of global channels too including Astro Supersport in Malaysia, ESPN in the US and Real Madrid in Spain.
Right now you can catch me every week on TalkSport Radio, BBC5Live, Premier League’s global channel, and BT Sport to name a few, but it’s best to catch up with all my news on Social Media (see icons on the footer).
I host live match-day shows, highlights programmes, debates and call-in shows. I’m also regularly interviewing Premier League players and mangers and reporting at games. Football never stops and nor do I.
2019 is going to be a big one for me. I’m a busy mum of two small kids and I think it’s really important to highlight the challenges working parents face so I’ve started blogging and speaking about it. I always love a new challenge so get in touch with any opportunities. See you soon.
